ADELE CARR FOUNDATION

Wednesday 23rd March 2022

Adele Carr is delighted to announce the Adele Carr Foundation in association with Bridgewater High School, Appleton.

The funding provided to the school will support the purchase of various sports equipment and lessons for the pupils who are keen to progress further.

The idea was born from Head of Physical Education, Mr Mackay, who has been working at Bridgewater High School for 18 years. “This isn’t about me, it’s about the students and their future.” Once they have graduated and become school alumni, the former pupils of the program will be contacted for a ‘where are you now’ update.

We spoke with some of the teenagers who have benefitted from the Adele Carr Foundation. Kascper, Year 10 “I had pads before that were thin and old, I would be left hurt.” Now, he has won a title for kickboxing in the English Championships with his new pads and is eager to learn wrestling next.

Ollie, Year 11, attended the OTC slalom training in Weymouth (pictured above) with his new board courtesy of the Adele Carr Foundation. And Joe, Year 11, has been able to take golf lessons in which he hopes to gain a USA scholarship. “It has really helped our confidence and inspires us to progress.”

It is important to Adele Carr that every pupil has the opportunity to learn and achieve in a sport they have a passion for.
