The Importance of The CV during the Recruitment Process

Recently, Adele Carr asked Senior Finance Leaders for their thoughts/opinions on the importance of the CV. Results/feedback are highlighted below.

Not surprisingly, 100% of respondents always viewed a CV before meeting a candidate. It is interesting, however, that 93% felt disappointed after reviewing a candidate CV and then meeting the candidate in person.

Maybe, therefore, this proves that we should not rely so heavily on the CV during the recruitment process? Spelling and the CV layout meanwhile are ranked important elements which influence decision making whilst reviewing CV’s.
